Pete Townshends biography is going to be release in 2012, almost 20 years after he started writing it.

The Who star was infamously cautioned during 2003 for accessing child pornography via the internet as part of the research for his memoirs.��

A statement from Townshend about the scandal read, "I believe I was sexually abused between the age of five and six and a half when in the care of my maternal grandmother, who was mentally ill at the time.�

"I cannot remember clearly what happened, but my creative work tends to throw up nasty shadows... Some of the things I have seen on the net have informed my book."� The rocker then began posting extracts from the book online in 2007.�
