Hilary Duff Compensated For Bonnie & Clyde Axe

Hilary Duff has received $100,000 (�62,500) from bosses behind the upcoming Bonnie & Clyde movie, despite chiefs axing her from the film.
�
The star was reportedly dumped from the project in May (11) but she insisted the story was false and she would still be playing notorious bank robber Bonnie Parker on the big screen.
�
Earlier this month (Aug11) it emerged Duff, who recently announced her pregnancy, has officially been dropped from the movie.
�
But the singer/actress will still be paid by the producers of The Story of Bonnie & Clyde - she's reportedly received $100,000 (�62,500) as part of a severance deal, according to TMZ.com.
�
Duff reportedly signed a contract which meant she would be compensated with the sum whether she appeared in the film or not.
�
The star tells the website, "I dont wanna give them any more press than they've already gotten off me... I think (my) baby is a little bit more exciting."

Dr. Conrad Murray Defense Dealt Major Blow

Dr. Conrad Murray took a walloping in court Monday after the judge threw out potentially key components of the embattled physician's case that he is not guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.

First, Judge Michael Pastor ruled that Jackson's personal history, including all references to child molestation, will not be permitted during Murray's trial.

Then, he determined that Jackson's dermatologist and longtime friend, Dr. Arnold Klein, won't be allowed to testify when Murray is tried next month.

Pastor stated that Dr. Klein's role in MJ's care isn't relevant, and that it could confuse the jury, as could unrelated testimony about MJ's personal life.

It's the ruling on Klein that dealt the most serious blow to Murray's defense, since the physician hoped to deflect blame onto others who treated the star.

Murray's lawyers were planning on asking Dr. Arnold Klein about the Demerol that he allegedly prescribed to Michael Jackson in the days before he died.

The defense was going to contend that Dr. Conrad Murray didn't know Klein gave Jackson Demerol at the same time he was giving him Propofol.

The two doctors that gave Michael Jackson Propofol (a hospital grade anesthetic) in medical settings will be allowed to testify at the trial, however.

The singer’s former nurse Cherylin Lee will also testify and in documents filed by Dr. Murray’s high powered defense attorney Nareg Gourjian.

They claim she will discuss Michael asking her for Propofol on April 19, 2009, just two months before the legendary singer died at the age of 50.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin on September 8, with opening arguments most likely to take place around the last week in September.

Andrew Garfield has admitted that he is terrified by fame.

The actor is set become a household name next year when he takes on the role of Peter Parker in Spider Man, a reboot of the franchise.

He takes over the role from Tobey Maguire as Marc Webb takes up the director's chair.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Time Hero Complex Blog the actor said: "I don?t like to think about [the fame]. It terrifies me... The visibility thing... the being a more visible actor or just a more visible person in the world - was the one thing that deterred me.

"That was absolutely the one thing I questioned. Do I want to do this? I thought about it for a month, constantly... I did take the role, I took it on, and i don?t regret it.

"It?s meant something to me for all of my life. But I?m going to do my best to remain me."

Garfield has already enjoyed huge success over the lat year with the Oscar nominated The Social Network and Never Let Me Go.

The Amazing Spider Man is released 3rd July 2012.
