Ryan, 36, has been dating the lady in question, Julianne Hough for less than a year, but friends say he?s getting ready to make it official and has picked out a stunning ring in case she accepts;
?Ryan already has the ring ? and it?s a rock: Four to five carats,? one source told Radar. ?He?s had it for a while and is planning the engagement. It?s going to happen in the next few months.?
The 22-year old ?Dancing with the Stars? performer met Ryan last Spring and they seem to have hit off rather well. She joined his folks for Thanksgiving dinner, but rumors he?d proposed over the holidays were promptly dismissed;
?I?m not engaged,? he told reporters, ?But I?m very happy.?
Asked if the rumors were in fact true, another source tried to be coy;
?If Ryan was planning to propose, why would I spoil the surprise?? they mused. ?I don?t think I?ve ever seen him like this over a girl before; they fit perfectly. His family adore her too, and his mom would be really happy to see him settle down and give her some grandchildren.?
