Our hearts go out tonight to the lovely Amanda Holden and her husband Chris Hughes tonight as news that Amanda has lost her unborn baby boy, have been confirmed.

Amanda, who was seven months into her pregnancy, is said to have been rushed to hospital on Tuesday after realising the baby wasn?t moving. But despite desperate attempts by doctors, they couldn?t save the little boy.

Amanda?s Spokeswoman, Alison Griffin confirmed the news tonight, saying the couple are ?utterly devastated?. She also expressed, ?Amanda had been closely monitored throughout her pregnancy and it is not yet known what went wrong?.

The couple had only announced her pregnancy over Twitter last month, after revealing that she had been pregnant last year too, but had sadly miscarried in May. In fact, it was close friend Piers Morgan who announced the news on the social networking site. Tonight, he simply tweeted, ?So desperately sad for my special friend @Amanda_Holden ? sending her and Chris my love and prayers at this horrible time?.

A whole host of stars have also tweeted their condolences to Amanda and Chris already, including James Corden, Emma Bunton, Davina McCall and Lorraine Kelly, who said, ?'My sincere condolences to Amanda Holden and Chris - so sad they have lost their baby - my thoughts are with them and their families.?

The statement sent out by Amanda?s spokeswoman also added, ?Both Chris and Amanda would like to thank the midwives and staff at The Queen Mary Maternity unit at West Middlesex Hospital Isleworth for their tremendous support.?
