(HMG Celebrity News) ? Tim Burton is set to direct Johnny Depp once again in their ongoing collaboration for the film adaptation of the late 60-s ?gothic? ABC TV soap opera, Dark Shadows, that he?s overseeing. � The series ran for five years, attracted thousands of obsessed fans, and finally closed in 1971.� Last July we reported that Johnny had acquired the rights to the 1966-vintage Gothic-horror soap opera, and hired Seth Grahame-Smith to write the screenplay.� Eva Green, who broke James Bond?s heart in Casino Royale as Vesper Lynd, has now landed the female lead in Dark Shadows. According to Deadline, Eva will likely play Angelique, who was a powerful witch who was alternately tormented and bewitched by her love-hate relationship with 200-year-old vampire Barnabas Collins.�� Depp who will play Barnabas Collins, reportedly was a big fan of Shadows, and has been trying to get a movie version made since the mid-80?s. Jackie Earle Haley and Bella Heathcoate are also reportedly negotiating lead roles in the film.� The Warner Bros. film is set to begin shooting this spring for a 2012 release.
