Fern Britton has seen off stiff competition from the likes of Peter Andre, Denise Van Outen, Melanie Sykes and a whole host of other former 5 O'Clock Show presenters, to land the coveted teatime chat-show slot on Channel 4, which was previously filled by Paul O?Grady.
The former This Morning host will launch the new self titled show, Fern next month and speaking about their decision C4 boss Helen Warner said, ?I have long been a fan of Fern and am thrilled that she is joining us at Channel 4.?
So are we, we couldn?t think of a better woman for the job!
