The celebrities have the case of the dramatics. And when it comes to conservative politicians, liberal Hollywood leaves no room for slip of judgement. Case in point: George Lopez and his case of hate for potential presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
In an interview with Piers Morgan on CNN, Lopez defiantly made his stand and assured Morgan he would leave the United States if Palin is elected. And not move to Mexico but Canada.?I will go further North. I?ve been South but I will go further North.I will leave the United States of America.?
But he slipped in the word ?allegedly? at one point in the interview.?Allegedly?? It seems like he?s giving himself a way out. Considering he has a late night show on TBS, it may be pretty hard to get late night guests there.
However, unlike other Hollywood stars who seem to have so much liberal vile for the affable Palin, Lopez just doesn?t think Palin has the chops.?I like my politicians to actually have a political background. To know politics. To actually have inherited something from working in the political world,? explained Lopez.
But didn?t he recently announce his mayor candidacy for Los Angeles in 2018? What?s his political background? Hm.
Morgan dug a little deeper and asked why Lopez thinks Americans like Palin so much despite all her flaws. Lopez thought out loud, ?Is it that maverickness. Is that home spun kind of Andy Griffith, wink your eye, shake the imaginary gun thing. Maybe? Is it that we?ve just become a culture of personality. Do we elect somebody by there smile? Instead of by their content? It?s a little bit of all of that.?
